Just like a real car, the XT2's engine is made up of the block, caruburettor and exhaust (and a few other bits!)
The blue part in the photo is the engine.
To the left is the carburettor which takes the fuel and air to the engine. (The cog next to the carburettor is where the clutch is attached.)
To the right and bottom is the exhaust which takes away the engine waste.
The black handle at the right is the pull start. If your Dad has a lawnmower it may have one of these!
The XT2 engine is connected to the chassis with two mounts ,which makes it easy to remove the engine for servicing.
