What are standards?

Standards are sets of rules that define the proper way to do something. There are lots of standards and some of them define how things should be done on the internet so that web content can be read by everybody.

WCAG (Accessibility)

Accessibility is about making web page content easily readable by people with disabilities or people who don't have modern web browsers. We are currently working towards a minimum accessibility rating of "AA". If you think that this site is not as accessible as it could be, please contact the webmaster who will endeavour to improve the accessibilty features of this site.

XHTML

XHTML is a popular standard for making web pages. This site conforms to XHTML 1.0 Transitional.

CSS

CSS is a standard for applying style (colours, sections, fonts etc) to web pages. This site conforms to CSS 2.1.
